Big Bash League(BBL)

Big Bash League(BBL) is the Australian T20 cricket league which was the second franchise cricket league after Indian Premier League (IPL). It was established by Australian Cricket Board in 2011.

Types:
Men's cricket league, Women's cricket league.

Teams:
Melbourne Stars, Sydney Sixers, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers, Sydney Thunder, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers.

Venue:
Melbourne, Sydney, Hobalt, Adelaide, Perth, Launceston, Geelong.

Tournament Title winners: 
Out of 8 teams throughout the tournament, The Perth Scorchers are winning most three titles. The Sydney Sixers have won the tournament twice and other 6 has won the title at least once.

Title is sponsored by KFC and Rebel(WBBL) whereas Weet Bix, Toyota, Wrigley Extra, Dream11, Woolworth, BKT Tires and Commonwealth Bank are Associate Sponsor. Broadcast partners are Fox Cricket, Seven Network, Radio Australia and many other.

Prize money:
  • $450,000 – To the Champion of the season
  • $260,000 – To the Runner up
  • $80,000 – To each losing semi-finalist
  • $20,000 – To the team finishing fifth in the season
